Join the Sabenette Scouts this summer as they hike the high street sourcing the finest camp essentials, discovering rich earthy leathers and dipping into scout activities as part of their new collection. This season Saben is bringing an adventurous spirit to the fashion landscape; with their new collection inspired by Wes Anderson’s film Moonrise Kingdom. Playful yet functional new designs include handbags Kingston, Sonny, Camden, Obi, and Messenger;and a collection of fine silver jewellery - all alluding to the ‘scout’ notion. Key handbag stories allude to the fun adventures of being an Official Sabenette Scout such as Camp Essentials, Tent Pitching, Orienteering, Beekeeping, Knot Knowledge and Finding Your Way.
An earthy colour palate creates the base for the collection; tan, rust and blush are showcased throughout, with spirited highlights of bright neons which allude to the orienteering equipment and lemon yellows create a honeycomb buzz. Roanne Jacobson, Director of Saben, says this collection was fun to create; playful in concept, serious in execution while extending the notion of the scout. “Thinking about what you would pack up and run away with, we have created a range with the adventures of an everyday scout in mind. No element of design has gone un-thought of, the styles are functional, the leather is heavy duty; ready for excursions across town and into the wilderness.” Utilise the elegance of the long strap when you are on hands-free adventures, pick up a tote if you are a serious scout or prefer the utility of a grab-and-go top handle, and snatch up a clutch if you’re planning on camping light for the night.
